September is a very special month in
Mexico in that on September 16th, 1810 Father Hidalgo (in the town of
Dolores Hidalgo, where our Talavera comes from!) rang the bell of the
church and called for everyone to fight for liberty. That was the
beginning of the Mexican Revolution that lasted 10 years.
This
year there are HUGE celebrations in Mexico being that it marks the 200th
year Anniversary of this event. Plus, in 1910, exactly one hundred
years later, the Mexican Revolution to topple Porfirio Diaz began.
We
are happy to share in Mexico's history and independence, and love that
this coincides with our own celebration as a company. Enjoy and we hope
